Reva which is another name for Goddess ‘Durga’ , also means a ‘Star’ was started by our forefathers Shri SP Goel while in government service.
India in ancient times was also known as ‘RevaKhande’
Reva was formally started by the eldest son of Shri SP Goel in 1963 in a small workshop in Delhi, doing automobile components. Few years later Shri Balraj Goel also joined his brother.
Soon Reva became a name in the eyes of the client it won many recognitions for quality and before time deliveries from companies like Escorts, Yamaha and others. The Brothers were famously name ‘Turner Brothers’
The hard work and God’s Grace showered prosperity and the shops and work multiplied. In 1979 a new state of the art factory was established at F-25 okhla industrial area ph-2 Delhi.
In search of expansion of business, Shri Balraj Goel started material handling division in 1979.
Soon Reva became a known name in field of Material Handling Equipments. Reva was the first in the country to be ISI certified for its Chain Pulley Blocks. It gave tough time to the then giants like Hoist-O-Mech, Indef, jessop cranes, Tractel India and many others.
As early as 1986 Reva got its foot into clients like Indian Railways, BHEL, NTPC, L&T and became their most preferred vendor due to deliveries, prices and quality. It was not a smooth ride although. Learning and improving was the moto which kept the spirit alive.
Reva was invited by many international crane manufacturers for tie ups where Shri Balraj Goel got chance to look around the world and learn how the others are manufacturing, their technology and the features offered. Also Shri Balraj Goel attended many international trainings and workshops to learn and implement and make his vision successful
Reva participated in many exhibitions in India and abroad. Expanded and opened offices in various parts of India for increasing customer reach and better customer experience. Reva Initiated computerisation of drawings, office as early as 1990. In 1991 new facility in Faridabad at plot no 28 sector 25 with an area of 1 acre was started by taking over Carry more cranes (p) ltd.
Shri Balraj Goel was awarded on 13 July 1987 with UDYOG PATRA award by then president of India Dr. S.D. Sharma.
In 1996 Reva was again the first one to be ISO- 9001 certified company in the crane industry.
The industry was changing, era of CNC machines was picking up. Hence new CNC shop was inaugurated in 1997 with 6 CNC machines. At that time CNC machines in Cranes and Hoists industry were never heard off.
In 1999 Reva executed an order for 150T capacity crane from APGENCO, which made us enter into a different category of lifting equipments, thereafter Reva has manufactured many such cranes and now is approved upto 250T capacity by BHEL.
Reva was closely attached to the Indian Bureau of Standards and in 1999 a revised standard on cranes IS:3177 (indian standard for the cranes) Reva name appeared as one of the contributors in making the standard.
Came 2009 a new facility in Faridabad itself was started for fabrication of Cranes. The facilities included SAW welding which again was one of the first’s in cranes field.
In 2015 Reva was termed a Brand Ambassador by the MSME ministry and won appreciation award from MSME as ‘Best Performing Unit’ to implement Lean Manufacturing Systems
